Announce or not announce?

Question

Anyone else have the urge to keep this pregnancy off Facebook and surprise like celebrities do? 🤣
I always announced at 10 weeks with my other two children but for some reason I want to keep this secret much longer. The earliest would be 14-15 weeks once we know the gender. Maybe it’s all this COVID making it easier to stay at home and hide. I just don’t want any negative opinions or bad vibes. I’m married and all 3 have been 100% planned but for some reason this time I’m getting more questions if this was “planned”. As in, “who in their right mind would plan a third?”
I’ve always wanted 3 kids and anyone who knows me knows I’m a planner. Idk, I just feel like it’s no ones business this time😂

We never announced on social media, our son has never been put on Facebook, and we'll be doing the same with this baby. We just like to keep our lives offline, and it's been so fun surprising people!

We did it with our son. He’s our first baby and we didn’t find out the gender. We never announced on social media. Some of the comments were hilarious and some seemed rude because people got their feelings hurt. We didn’t care though. If you’re in our life, you knew, if not, you obviously aren’t important/in our life like you think you are. 
We haven’t decided if we’re going to announce on social media this time. Honestly, we probably won’t. We don’t really care either way. If we do, we might do it once we find out the gender of this baby, then again we may wait until he/she is born.

I didn’t announce til almost 20 weeks with my first because I was only 23 and didn’t want to be judged. I was also tiny and could hide the extra pounds! This time I’m already showing and wanted to announce after my 2nd scan since I’m heading back to work next week and wanted people to be extra cautious and wear a mask/social distance from me. I think it just depends on your personal feelings and circumstances! There’s no right or wrong way 🥰

I think you should trust your gut with this decision. There isn’t a right or wrong way to go about this. There is nothing wrong with waiting to share and don’t feel guilty about waiting either. With my first we basically didn’t tell anyone until I was 17/18 weeks. I was struggling a little and I just wasn’t ready to share. Here we are again and I don’t have a big urge to tell anyone yet. Once people knew, I felt very lost as a person. No one had anything to talk to me about but the baby, it was like I didn’t exist. So I’m not looking forward to that and all the questions and judgements that come along with everyone knowing. We are planning to keep it a secret a while longer this time around, my husband says it’s my call. I fully get people’s excitement to share and celebrate and I commend them. For me, I wasn’t in that space and that’s ok too. You’ll know when it is the right time!

I'm having baby number 6, and I've played with the idea of not announcing until after labor. 😂 But I turn 16 weeks on Hubby's birthday, so we scheduled a gender ultrasound at a private clinic, and he's all excited about sharing the news after the appointment as "the best birthday present ever!", so I guess we're doing that instead. 😂 But it'll be the longest I've ever been pregnant and not gone public with it! My last record was 13-14 weeks with my third.

I don’t plan to announce anything, and probably won’t post pictures on social media at all! We are also foster parents and we’ve never been allowed to post pictures of them, so we plan to do the same with our bios. Also, it’s so funny to see people’s confusion when you run into them in public and they see you have kids. 😅

Yeah I have no plans to announce on Facebook - I have so many people on there I don’t even speak to, I’ll probably just wait until Christmas or something when we always take a family photo and it appears online😂 our families know, and I’ll be telling friends after 13 weeks x

I have mixed emotions. I want to share my joy but I also feel like my Facebook friends aren’t entitled to my private family life. Once the cat is out of the bag, I just feel like everyone has so many opinions about everything. I’ll be 12 weeks on Saturday and have shared with immediate family and very close friends but that’s it so far.

I’m pregnant with #3 too, I feel a little protective of my pregnancy this time compared to the other 2. Probably because it’s the last one, so I’m enjoying it 🤷🏻‍♀️ we already told our immediate family so we aren’t rushed to tell random friends on fb
