So when I masturbate I use my fingers and just rub, but do you lay on your stomach or your back when you masturbate bc I do it laying on my stomach and I feel like that’s not how it’s normally done

I thought the same thing! I masturbate on my stomach too. I looked it up on google one day and it said lots of women masturbate this way. It puts more weight and friction on your hands which hightens the clitoral sensation.  I used to think it was weird, but ever since reading that and knowing that there are lots of women out there that do it this way, has made me feel so much better about myself and feeling that I'm not weird! Its totally normal.
