Would you ask your parents for 30k?

Here is the scenario.

I am an adult. I am 30 years old and about to open a business. This business is inline with my college degree and I have worked hard to get to this point. My parents, on multiple occasions, have told me they will give me 30k when I open my business. But the most recent time they said this was over a year ago.

I REALLY didn’t want to use their money and have tried several ways to get a loan without their help.

Well I am being denied a loan because I don’t have enough money in the bank for the down payment.

My parents currently know about this and have not offered the 30k. Do I ask?
