Hypospadias

Has anybody’s son been born with hypospadias? My son was born with it and the doctors say it’s not that rare. When he was a month old or so we went to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to see a specialist and they obviously want to have surgery to correct it. Do you feel it should be corrected? What are the downfalls? Do you feel your baby could live a normal life without it(peeing normal, fertility)? They could also circumcise him at the same time. Opinions and/or experiences? Not interested in being told circumcising is wrong, my husband & I will make an informed choice!
