Nothing about a baby but please help!! Having weird smell/taste

Should I be concerned? Starting today I have been getting a really weird smell and taste. I can’t seem to describe the smell/taste. It’s something I haven’t smelled my whole time. I thought it was my room but I sprayed air wicks and I can still smell it. I brushed my teeth just to get that minty smell and flavor you get after and I am still getting. I now tried putting Vick’s in my nostrils but I can still smell it and taste it. I asked my mom is she can smell something weird and she said no. The smell/taste comes and goes. What should I do I am freaking out. I have heard some people experience weird smells and then get diagnosed with having a tumor or something.
