Possible Ectopic (I'm terrified)

I started spotting yesterday so I went to the hospital since that's how.my last miscarriage began. Based off the app I should be 8 weeks.

They ran some tests and told me my beta had gone up which made me relax some more but then I got my ultrasound. They said I have a tilted uterus so we had to do transvaginal. Turns out they are only seeing a sac and no baby. The sac appears to be 5 weeks and a few days along.

The doctor basically gave me 3 possibilities.. 1) Since my cycles have been sparatic in the past, I could have ovulated late and not be as far along as we thought. 2) It could just be an empty sac. 3) It could possibly be an ectopic pregnancy.

He performed an exam then and found I was tender on the left and back side. He said he can't tell if I have cysts at the moment (I present with PCOS symptoms) but the tenderness and time of my cramping and bleeding could lead to ectopic and it's terrifying me.

I have to go back in 2 days for bloodwork and he has scheduled an ultrasound for 10 days. I've been a wreck since yeaterday and even having trouble sleeping. I'm so scared of having to have surgery or the possibility of damaging my tubes or passing out all of a sudden. I'm starting to worry I'll never have a baby and it breaks my heart.
