1. How many just for nights? 🌓

Question

I want to cloth diaper in the nights with my 6.5kg six month old. How many do you think she will need? How many covers and inserts etc?
Edit - cloth nappies just between 8pm-8am. Because this way she won’t poo in them, it will just be urine. 
Can do washing once a week, maybe every four days. Sometimes she leaks in her current eco single use nappies. I don’t change her during the night.

Getting a routine right is actually trickier using part time than full time tbh.
I really wouldn't recommend leaving night nappies for a week before washing. Wee is actually worse than poo as it breaks down to ammonia over time, which builds up in the nappies and can damage them and cause smells, rashes and even burns for babies.
You'll need to give each nappy a hot hand wash every morning when it comes off, then wash every 3-4days maximum. As nappies need good loading and agitation get clean, I'd do a quick hot wash in the machine with your 3 nappies and a half dose detergent then bulk up the load to 3/4 full with anything under 2ft square and do a long wash with a full dose detergent for machine size, water type and soiling level x

I think at least one for each night and a couple more (just in case you need to change him twice) so 7-8 will be ok. I think a triple insert will be fine: microfiber plus a couple of boosters (Bamboo or cotton, flour sack towels... Which One you prefer). Make some experiments to find perfect combination and maybe use longer inserts and fold in front of diaper to add absorbency for pee.

How often do you want to do laundry? And do you mean just while sleeping or the whole evening? I have 5 overnight diapers for my son, I wash every 3-4 days and have one extra, I don't change him during the night. Is set double or triple that if you intend to diaper while they're still awake, too.
