nurse advice??

Question

So..I cut my thumb knuckle the other day with a can and it wouldn’t stop bleeding for at least 20 minutes, I felt very dizzy, lost my hearing, felt sick etc. 
BUT the cut itself didn’t hurt at all when I did it, and after, only when I actually put pressure on it to bandage it. 
Is it weird that I felt no pain?

Some people can’t do the sight of blood, specifically their own. Sounds like you almost passed out from the sight and not from the actual cut... this happens to me too. 
When I cut myself now, I know I only have 1 or 2 minutes until I start to feel faint so I grab some juice or a sugary drink to try and stabilize my heart rate and sugars a bit and get comfy on the floor with an ice pack on my neck. Definitely minimizes the amount of time in the episode now.
