Buy a DockATot, or not!?

Do I buy one or not? How safe is it really to let the baby rest/sleep in? Who has one?

Nah not worth the money. Also not considered safe for sleep according to the AAP

I got one as a hand me down. I really liked it. I have a two story house and all the rooms are upstairs. I would let baby nap in it on the coffee table. Definitely not ok for unsupervised sleep, but helpful when you’re close. I would NEVER pay for one, there’s def cheaper options.

Boppy newborn lounger is pretty good but you cant let them sleep in it if you aren’t watching them.

I’ve never had one but seems like a waste of money to me. I wanted to get one for this baby but I don’t see the point. My babies were either always held or placed in the swing, bouncer, and bassinet so I can’t justify buying one just for another place to have baby lounge in.

I don’t think they’re worth it 😫 They’re not safe for sleep and you may as well use a bouncer or swing that’s cheaper and worth the money in the long run. For night time sleeping, I’m going to try one of those bassinets that you out literally right next to your bed! That way baby is close.

We bought the deluxe 0-8 months and the Grand for 9+. I paid $470 total. I did use the deluxe from birth up until our LO outgrew it. Once it was time to switch to the bigger, our LO had started to roll over and it just made me uncomfortable. Would I purchase them again? Probably not. There are so many options out there that are a lot cheaper. Unless you maybe plan on using it with future babies

I think it depends on what other baby gear you have/are planning to get. If you have a bouncer/rocker and a swing I don’t think you need ANOTHER things to put baby in. They’re not technically any safer for sleep than those items, so no real additional benefits. 
In all reality, your baby is only going to be content to lay down on their own for so long (if at all) no matter how expensive of a cushion you put them on. Haha
