Need some help
Imma be as short and sweet as possible.
Im trying to lose weight. I've joined a gym, trying to figure out my diet and I'm really serious about it. However, my motivation and confidence took a very steep dive after about the first week when I noticed a lot of stretch marks forming all over me. My hips, stomach, groin, thighs, EVERYWHERE. You know when stretch marks are a kind of purple colour when they first appear before fading away? Yeah... they're ALL that colour which means they're very new and recent.
This absolutely shocked me. Why did they appear when I just started exercising and trying to lose weight?! I don't get depressive very much (I don't actually have depression but don't we all feel this way sometimes?) but I struggle even more now to look at myself in the mirror than I already did.
Does anyone know what this means? Why they showed up now? And what should I do?
