Tips on getting 3yo to sleep in own room?

My toddler has slept in the room with us since she’s been born and we are trying to get her to start sleeping in her own room. Any tips?? We tried letting her fall asleep then putting her in her bed in her room but she’ll sleep for a bit then wake up crying for us.

Our son was in our bed for a while, from his second birthday until a couple weeks ago. We let him decorate his room and that convinced him to sleep in there occasionally. He picked out some wall decals and he put them on the walls exactly how he wanted them. He told us he wanted Christmas lights in his room so we bought a string of battery powered ones and put them up around his bed (we turn them off when we go to bed a couple hours after him). He picked out some new sheets too. He also has his baby brother in his room, which he likes now. When he was first born he seemed afraid of waking the baby so he didn’t want to sleep with him, but now he says the baby helps him not be lonely.
