Baby said, “Nah ahn” / Long story

Writing my birth story almost two months after. Been a crazy two-month period lol.

I had gestational high BP and was to be induced around 37 weeks. My BP fluctuated between the highs and the lows all through the pregnancy. When the 37th week appt came, my OB said that they will induce me on the day I turn 38 weeks which was June 12. Due date was 6/26. I prayed to God that I didn’t want an induction, having read a lot of stories on here. God answered and my little bubba engaged lol. On June 11, I had taken a rather warm/hot shower around midnight. Approx 12.45am, a sharp cramp woke me from sleep. I was like, “what’s this?” FTM here. After a few minutes, the cramp returned. I began timing it. The cramp would come every 4-5 mins and last for 45secs-1 min. I was like, “oh boy! This is labor.” My hubby was on his way home from work at that time. Called him and said, “Baby! no sleep for you Cos little baby is coming!!” Once he got home, I completed my go-bag which was partly ready and we headed out. Got to the hospital, I was at 3cm and 80% effaced. Nurse said, “you’re getting admitted!”

Then it began - The long labor of 21 hours. It took me almost 5 hours to get to a 4, and 3 hours to get to a 5. Nurse started me on pitocin. I was like all over the place. Thought I could wing it, hell no! “Uhm, excuse me! Where’s the epidural guy?” I yelled outside my door. The guy was seated right there and said he was coming. I was like “hmmmm I hear you.” Took 3 tries to get it in. I was on fire, but tried really hard to stay still. I had already thrown up twice 😩 Once the epidural kicked in, I took a nap but the shivering started and took my sleep away 😭😭

I got to a 6 around 5pm. OB said to up the pitocin and they left me for some hours. Around 9.40pm, I was at a 10!! Pushed for 20 minutes or so, Baby Anthony Jr (AJ) made his debut at 10.13pm on 6/11/20 - Two weeks and a day early, 7lbs2oz and 20 inches long!!
