Post birth bleeding recommendations

Question

Hey guys, currently 16w2d, still have plenty of time to decide. 
But I’ve been wondering opinions on what I should get for after the birth, bleeding wise. I was thinking about getting a few of the modibodi heavy flow briefs, could anyone give me some feedback if they used those? Or just any recommendations on what worked or didn’t work for you.

Stick to adult diapers like this, or heavy overnight pads. You’ll want to be able to throw it away afterwards, trust me. I’m all for reusable pads/underwear for regular periods, but after birth bleeding is no joke!

I use the mesh underwear from the hospital. They are so comfortable. I use hospital pads until I run out (my hospital sends us home with a lot) and then I use Always pads.

I bought adult diapers because a friend recommended it and it was the best decision! I didn’t have to worry about bleeding through or ruining any underwear and it was quicker to change than a pad.

ok so i stuck to the ugly undies the hospital gives you lol worked for me and did not want to stain any personal undies so yea... once the bleeding calmed down i just stuck with high waisted underwear to help support the skin on 
my stomach

I hate the hospital pads and cheap mesh undies the pads moved around especially when you are up and walking around. This are so much better and less to worry about.

The special bleeding underwear typically has special washing instructions. I have one pair that has to be rinsed out before washing, then has to be washed in cold water without fabric softener. That is a lot of work when you have a newborn. 
My hospital had depends for me and I bought some too. Way easier, the hospital underwear wasn’t comfortable for me at all but the depends were amazing.

I used these...honestly everyone is different and my bleeding really wasn’t near as bad as I predicted. I did have a little leaking the first week or so if my bladder got too full,sneezed or coughed...but really after about a week, week and a half these were too much for me. I never needed a full brief. These worked perfect and I would use them again if we have another. I just used the ugly hospital underwear with them so I could toss them if I needed too

overnight pads did the trick for me for the first couple of days. I never bleed much after my 3 babies. I bled for maybe about 1.5 weeks tops. And it was never super heavy. I've herd of people bleeding for way longer tho.

If you are committed to reusable I would just get some granny panties and some reusable pads (these are fine. May want to look for overnight ones though). I found the bleeding to be heavier than a period and it's easier to have a lot of pads to change into.
