I have my first scan for my pregnancy on Thursday. Obviously we’re not allowed to take partners with us because of the current COVID guidance so I was wondering if anyone else in the UK has had any experiences of going on their own?

Ideally I’d like to FaceTime my husband whilst I’m in the appointment so he can see what’s going on and feel involved - but are they okay with you doing that? I’ve read somewhere that they would just prefer you to video it rather than actually have them on the end of the line on a FaceTime call.

It just seems like such a special moment for him to miss out on.
