Should I be worried?

Hi y’all! I’m about 4w4d pregnant and have been having cramping in my lower left side (left ovary area maybe?) I have been have on and off cramping for the past couple of days, but not in such an isolated area and the pain comes and goes but when it comes its painfulllllll. No bleeding or anything else- I’ve never been pregnant before and just wondering if I should be worried?? Thanks in advance 💕💕

I had general cramping but also some sharper cramping on my left side. It was due to the corpus luteal cyst that formed on the ovary you ovulated from. It produces progesterone until the placenta takes over and can cause some cramping/irritation. Also, sometimes you have other cysts that cam cause pain but go away towards the end of the 1st trimester. You will know better at your first ultrasound. The general cramping is caused by the surge in hormones as well as the uterus changing shape.

Cramping is normal during first trimester, as long as there’s no bleeding. Your uterus is just stretching.
