Getting used to my new body
I'm a little more than two months post c-section. I still find myself looking in the mirror and wondering who's body this is. My boobs sit in a position that I never thought they would, but they fed my baby girl for 2 weeks before they just couldn't keep up with her anymore. I have new stretch marks that stare back at me as if to say "You may not have wanted us, but we are a gift from your daughter. A reminder of the amazing things your body did to make sure she got here healthy and safe." The biggest change is that scar. Where she entered the world all pink and screaming. The most beautiful sound I've ever heard. I'm learning rather than to look at my body and hate all of its new quirks and curves, to instead be thankful for thing incredible things it is capable of and to appreciate that it keeps me going even on my toughest days to be sure that my little Evie is taken care of the way she deserves to be. 💕
