Convertible car seat with newborn?

I plan on using a convertible car seat and wearing baby but I am afraid the hospital will give me a hard time when it comes to leaving If I do not have a infant car seat. Anyone have a issue with using convertible car seat ?

None at all, we even brought it in to do an oxygen test in it and no one batted an eye. They wheeled me out of the hospital and I held him in my arms.

Where I work we don’t make mom bring up the car seat if it’s the convertible kind. Baby just gets swaddled and mom carries the baby while being wheeled down to the car. It shouldn’t be an issue! 😊

We also got a convertible car seat and were wondering the same thing. Luckily my mom bought a travel system for them and so we are just going to use that to bring baby home to avoid any confusion

It should be fine. They wheel you down to the car anyways. As long as you have a carseat it shouldn’t be a problem

We did not! The hospital wanted us to bring the car seat up so that they could watch/ make sure baby was put in safely but we explained the convertible car seat situation and she said okay! And that was that
