HELP! Pregnant but confused on when it happened

So my period was on the 26th of July or what I thought was a period. I just got my BFP and I’m so confused. I’m only on day 14 of my cycle. We have been trying since July and I had a regular 5 day period during that and got a negative pregnancy test last month. So confused
