It’s the sneak peak test I’m assuming. It detects fetal DNA in maternal blood. If a Y chromosome is detected they assume you are having a boy. In the absence of a Y chromosome (X chromosomes only), you are having a girl. The clinic setting and a phlebotomist drawing your blood reduces the risk of contamination with male DNA and getting a possible boy result that is false.
Gender Blood Test at 8weeks?
An independent ultrasound clinic has a blood test they can do starting at 8 weeks that they say is 99.1% accurate. They don’t describe the process on their website; they just say that a trained phlebotomist performs the draw. Has anyone tried this? If so, were your results accurate? What was the blood draw like?
Thank you!
