Nuvaring

So my nuvaring fell out in the middle of the night , I honestly don’t think I had it in correctly as I felt it right at the edge of my vagina. I found it last night after waking up and decided to just keep it out because I was over the stupid thing. I left it out on my sink over night and all day today. I decided to put it back in now, the same one that fell out. Is it going to still be effective? I had only just put it in last Tuesday. So it haven’t even been in a week. I’m new to this type of birth control as I have just gotten rid of the Paraguard. Please let me know if this will be effective still and how to use this damn thing... 😞
