Am I not ready or just Nervous?

Hello all, sorry if this question has been asked often but here it goes. I’m a virgin and my boyfriend and I are planning to have sex hopefully relatively soon, we’ve been making plans and such. (We’re both above the age of consent and we’ll have protection)

When I talk about it I feel totally fine and like I’m ready to move to that next step in our relationship, we’re in a really good spot and have moved pretty slowly lol so I feel ready. However, when I really try to picture myself actually doing the deed for the first time I feel pretty nervous. How can I distinguish between regular nerves associated with the vulnerability of the situation vs not being ready for sex?
