Does my baby have reflux?

He spits up all. The. Time. His doctor said not to worry about it if it doesn’t seem to be painful for him. The actual spitting up doesn’t seem painful, and I’ve been keeping him upright after feedings to help prevent it. However, when I lay him down, he grunts a lot and kicks around. If I sit him upright, he seems fine. Is there anything I can do?

As long as baby is gaining weight and doesn’t appear to be in pain, there’s not much to do. He could have reflux but not much will do anything. They call it a “happy spitter” and they eventually just grow out of it. My oldest did it until around 6 months

Has your doctor mentioned a possible cows milk protein intolerance? I went dairy and soy free and that has cut down my little guys spit ups dramatically! It also seems to help when I burp him more often while feeding, both from the bottle and while nursing. 
If it is reflux, there ARE medications that will help, they don’t have to simply grow out of it if it’s severe.

Mine has the same thing. They gave us medicine she has been taking for two weeks but I haven’t noticed a difference. She spits up a lot less if I hold her up for 30 minutes after and if I let her sleep in my arms. We have been bed sharing since it started. We tried inclining bassinet and that didn’t help either. It’s horrible seeing her in such discomfort

If he is spitting up at every feeding and loosing weight doctor can give him medicine for it. My son was doing that and his doctor gave him medication to stop it. Sometimes when babies have colic/gas they also spit up

My baby did this i stopped drinking dr pepper everything went back to normal i am breastfeeding she spits up once in a while but not as much as before

My baby is the same, as well as back arching which is a sign of reflux. It sucks but there’s not much we can do. They outgrow it.
