sticky stuff bikini bottoms

So I’m on holiday and stupid me forgot to remove the hygiene strip from the bikini bottoms when I went swimming. It has gone so sticky and has left a horrible sticky residue on the bikini bottoms. I’ve tried water, soap but it’s still there and it won’t go away, it just seems to be getting stickier with more water.

I haven’t got any sticky stuff remover (i haven’t got goo gone or anything else) I haven’t got any rubbing alcohol or vinegar either.

Does anyone know what I can do?
