Miserable husbands??

Anyone in the same boat as me?? I’m 22 years old husband is 36 we have twin boys. But he just acts like a miserable old man?? Whyyyy?!!! I don’t get it like just so stubborn, ‘stressed’ w work and I get it works hard but then he will come home and still be pissed off or whatever. And I just try to always be there for him being positive and motivating him, I always have his back. But when he acts like this makes me think hes not happy. He’s like this prob75% of the time

How often do you two sit and talk interrupted with no electronics and no kids? How often do you have sex? When is the last time you had a date together? What kinds of stuff is he into and have you tried some of those things out even if it takes you out of your comfort zone?

I agree with the full, open communication to see if there are reasons behind his moods. You’re a team so bring that positivity and motivation into the conversation so you can both hopefully find some answers and reach solutions and/or compromises.
Sounds like he may also need to work on his stress response to manage his stress so he isn’t taking it out on others (breathing exercises, meditation, physical exercise, hobbies, gratitude practices).
What are meals like? Are they full of whole veggies and natural foods or are they mostly fried, packaged, and full of preservatives? The food you eat fuels the body so of course poor nutrition means poor physical AND mental health (since everything going on in the gut directly affects the brain). 
Another thing to consider is the possibility of hormone and/or neurotransmitter imbalances. 
Low testosterone in men can manifest as unmotivated, lethargic, lazy, and unhappy while too much testosterone may appear aggressive, angry, anxious, agitated, and impulsive. Both can lead to altered moods or depression as well as MANY other symptoms. 
If low in certain neurotransmitters (NT), he may feel unfulfilled in life; like rewards, victories, and things that used to please him no longer elicit the same positive response; unhappy; never relaxed; always wound up and/or no energy for anything; anxious; unstable moods; unmotivated; depressed; feelings of inadequacy; all color gone from life... (you may see a lot of overlap between hormones and NTs; the body is super inter-connected).
~ Talk first in a safe setting for you both to be honest.
~ Address stress and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
~ Consider slowly (or drastically) incorporating more plants and less processed foods if he is not eating nutritious foods.
~ And if those don’t help, consider getting some tests done for nutritional deficiencies as well as hormones & NT.

There are plenty more ways than they list to boost natural production without supplements, but it may be more difficult if hormones are not in the right range; they need to be at a certain level to help produce these NTs. Some supplement are safe for most people, but it’s best to speak with a professional if that’s the route he wants to try.

Energy levels do change as we age. But it could be a variety of things, it sounds like possibly even depression based on your description.
