First period after birth

I gave birth 6 weeks ago and I think I just started my period (of course right when I started feeling good about myself 🙃). I had a lot of blood clots come out this morning the size of a grape or so. I called my DR and she said as long as the bleeding isn’t heavy in between clots and the clots aren’t golf ball size then it’s most likely my period starting.

So I was wondering if some of you can tell me what it was like getting you period for the first time after birth and what I should expect 🙂
