Do you recommend the Doona?

This is my first time coming to this group, so I apologize if this question has already been asked....My husband and I are considering purchasing this for our baby due in January. It is an expensive purchase about 500 dollars U.S. Just wondering has anyone else purchased it and can tell me whether it was worth it or did you wish you saved your money and went with something cheaper?

Kids grow out of the infant seat quickly, they aren’t easy to install without the base, and it’s not a good stroller. I would buy a good stroller with a bassinet that attaches.

It scores "just adequate" in the safety test (2,7 in the adca to be exact). So I would never get it. Way better and safer seats for less money. And what do you do if your baby is one of them who hates the car seat?

I didn't get that one exactly.  I got a Graco Snugride  Connect infant car seat and purchased a Graco Uno 2 duo. I wanted more than one child but now she's my one and only.  But if I knew this before I would have just gone with a car seat and stroller combo like the one I suggested. I only used her infant car seat for 9 months so I couldn't justify buying a $500 car seat/ stroller when in the end you'll be buying another stroller and carseat. I like that I can keep my stroller for the entire time she is small enough to use it.

Personally not worth it for as little time as they fit in it. We got a graco modes click connect travel system and the breaze umbrella stroller that’s good up to 50 lbs and our convertible car seat for less than the cost of the doona. The infant car seat clicks into either stroller

Omg! We love ours! It’s perfect! Easy for me and I’m disabled (primary hand and right ankle are partially metal). I don’t struggle with this, and it saves SO MUCH ROOM!!!
