38 weeks & sharp pains! Help me

I'm 38 weeks today and I just experienced some really sharp pains on my right side. I think it was my baby kicking but it hurt really badly, I had to stop and catch my breath. I also had a Hard ball around the top of my stomach? It just felt really tight. I wasn't really sure what was going on.. Should I be worried? Is this normal??
