I’ve been cheated on a lot and before meeting my husband I would always said “peace out.” It’s incredibly hard to make a relationship work after someone cheats. There is a lot of pain, mental torture and emotional sacrifice for person who accepts the cheater back.  If my husband cheated on me I would be completely devastated but I know my husband and I know that if he did something so out of character like that I’d want to know why and what lead to it. No marriage is perfect and for us, I would be willing to try to work through it - but that’s based on the fact that I know he’s a good man. I think you have to weigh up your options. Is your relationship as a whole worth the work that YOU personally are going to have to put into it? Is your man worth it? Would you feel happier on your own? Etc etc

Really glad to see most of the comments are from smart women who would leave! As they should! I cant for the life of me understand why some women stay with that. I couldn't fathom it. I'd run myself to the ground wondering his every move and intention if he cheated on me. Trust=GONE

I’ve been in situations where I’ve been so in love with someone I’ve considered staying and tried. All it does is eat at you constantly wondering what their up to. I wouldn’t sacrifice my own happiness for theirs anymore.

Good reasons are a total change in behavior and actually makes effort to improve the relationship. It also depends on the situation. Was it an affair? Was it a one time thing? For me there is a total difference.
