How long did it take you to get pregnant after coming off the pill?

Hi,

I am currently on the combined contreceptive pill and have been for 8 long years! My legs are starting to feel swollen so I'm going to come off. My fiance and want to try for a baby, but after our wedding in August 2016... not just yet. I've looked into non chemical alternatives but I feel it would be good to go without and use condoms. (Although he seems pulling out is good enough haha!)

I know condoms aren't the safest so how long after the pill did it take you to get pregnant?

Girl....the first damn try! I was shocked! My hubby and I are in our mid-thirties, no kids and I've been on the pill for yearsss. I figured it would take months. One try! At the first ultrasound, the baby measured to the DAY after I got off the pill. I didn't have a period or anything after getting off. I'm 30 weeks now and the little guys is perfectly healthy. Anything is possible!

One full cycle. That pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, and we are now trying a again.

And pulling out is NOT a good method, so don't let your boyfriend talk you into that!

I've actually read that pulling out is about as effective as condoms when done right. We use the pullout method, but we are "trying but not ttc." I got off the NuvaRing at the beginning of September. I had a period for Sept and Oct, but I'm still waiting on one for Nov.

I was on just the pill for 5 years and it took us 6mths. And we were trying to get pregnant!
