Worst first ultrasound! 8 weeks. No baby on ultrasound.

Priscilla

Hey so I’ve had irregular periods for about 6 months before I got pregnant and I believe I was supposed to be 8 weeks today if they count from my last period which was June 30,2020. I ovulated around July 20,2020. I went for my first ultrasound and everything and I had that awkward silence with the ultrasound tech. She said she couldn’t see anything. She said she thinks she sees blood and I just went blank. So after the ultrasound they put me in the room to speak with the midwife.

30 minutes later the midwife comes in and all I heard was non viable/miscarriage. I told her I haven’t had any severe cramping or bleeding at all. I told her my uterus was tilted but I guess I should’ve emphasize how tilted. Towards the end the midwife said she’s going to look at my hcg levels and see what’s going on and my next appointment is tomorrow to go over what’s going on. I cried and went home.

I realized when I got home that I feel like the ultrasound tech did not try hard enough. I’ve had a trans signal ultrasound before and it was years ago because they checked for cysts and there was nothing I was just dealing with a tilted uterus. I remember that time the ultrasound tech had to really push and lift on the wand to see my uterus and it made me bleed a bit. This tech at my first pregnancy ultrasound didn’t really move around I feel like. Could it be possible that I’m early and that my uterus is just tilted? I have the morning sickness and tiredness symptoms of pregnancy. No bleeding and no cramping at all besides small pinches. Anyone able to share their story with me to calm me and have to have some hope?
