On july 16th 2020, I went into the hospital at around 4:30pm because I won’t up that morning with dull lower back and hip pain and later on was what felt like mild contractions, I get to the hospital ( my boyfriend has to stay in the car due to COVID) they hook me to the monitor, they seen I was having contractions and still sent me home.

Later on that night at around 10:30pm I was at my grandma about to eat dinner and my pains were getting a lot worse, I was gonna shower and eat before I went back to the hospital because we were out in the heat ALL day that day and I felt gross, but that did not happen. I went ahead and call L&D and told them I was coming in and I was not going home this time!

I got to the hospital at around midnight, they took me in ( my boyfriend had to stay in the car AGAIN!) they monitored me and checked me and I was still only at a 1 and I bounced on the ball and walked around my room for a bit, I was in pain. I told her your not sending me home because I’m having this baby soon! So she went to talk to the staff that was there and came back in and told me they were gonna give me a shot for pain, that my boyfriend would have to sleep in the car, I told them they were gonna let him come stay with me or I was going to a different hospital, so they let him come in, they didn’t give me the shot until about 4:40am in the morning, and it put me to sleep really fast. They came in my room at 7:00 am because they noticed how bad my contractions were on the monitor and I asked them if I could sleep 15 more minutes. And she was like no we need to check you ,low and behold they check me and I was at an 8!!!! I went from a 1 to an 8 in 3 1/2 hours!

She went and got all the nurses and everything ready and called the anesthesiologist to get my epidural, it took him 2 hours to get there, once he got there everything went slow!!!! The epidural kicked in FAST!!!! But I started pushing 15 minutes after I got it I pushed for 2 whole hours, I had a small labia tear and got 2 stitches. And at 12:13 pm my little man was here!
