For anyone thinking they may be miscarrying -here is my story

G ✨ • Mama to 2 little girls. 2 years old and newborn • May babies

For weeks I searched for an answer to what was happening to me and found it hard to find something. So I wanted to share my experience in hopes it can help someone.

I started spotting at 6 weeks 2 days, very light brown and watery only when I wiped. Every day it seemed to slowly progress, eventually needed a panty liner and it was darker brown (not at watery anymore). It became enough to drip a few drops into the toilet when I peed and it became a stringy dark brown bleeding. A few more days and it turned a brown/dark red color and started to become more like regular period bleeding, not as heavy though I’d say. I bled brown for 7 days before it turned red. Then it turned bright red and I noticed more and some sized clots.

I decided to go to the ER because I was concerned for myself losing blood. My HCG came back at 29,900 and they said it was in normal range for my week. I also found out I had a UTI (no symptoms) and the ultrasound showed a normal sac and a baby measuring 7 weeks 5 days with a heart beat for 159bpm.

I bled for 7 more days, bright red. I called my doctor and got an appointment on the 8th day or red bleeding. Just before my appointment I started getting contraction like cramps, fairly light. I had noticed small cramps since I found out I was pregnant at 3 1/2 weeks, but these were slightly different. When I got the office and was waiting the cramps got very intense and I felt an intense pressure in my vagina area. This later about 10-15 minutes.

The doctor did a pelvic and said I was actively miscarrying and she cleared the pregnancy and 3 golf ball sized clots and the pain lessened immediately.

When I got home I did pass about 5 more large clots and the bleeding lessened the next day. I did take the pills given to make sure everything was out.

Just my experience of miscarrying at 8 weeks pregnant.
