What does the start of labor feel like?

On and off spotting, baby’s head feels like it’s pushing down lots of pressure, been 50% effaced for 2 weeks, wasn’t dilated yesterday but cervix very very soft. 38 weeks.

I was induced so, I can’t tell you how it feels when it starts on it’s own.
But, for me I had back labor so, it felt like a had a horrible back ache with each contraction and I couldn’t talk through them I had to focus on breathing. My stomach would get very hard with each contraction and once it was time to push I just felt like I needed to poop or a lot of pressure down there.

The part of labor you feel is the contractions and when they get steady you can feel pain either in your back or your belly and both places. You can also have pain in your vagina. That urge to poop.
Contractions when steady take the breath out of you. Like you can only breathe in pieces and talking is hard.
Once you are ready to push it feels like your whole body is going to push whether you try to help it or not.
