Moving to a bed at 16/17 months

So long story short.....

I am currently pregnant with my second baby and my little girl is currently 15 months.

We are moving house in the next couple of weeks and the plan was in December mover her from Cot to bed before new baby arrives in January.

I was thinking it might be easier when we move to do it all in one go and just make the cot into a toddler bed then by December completely remove the cot bed and have a proper bed.

Has anyone had any success with moving a 16/17 month old to a bed?

Is it too early?

Any help and advice would be grateful
