Did you miscarry?

First baby here! Nervous as hell just trying to stay calm. It feels like a very very high percentage of glow users have had a miscarriage. Every post I read there are soooooooo many women who say they had a miscarriage. How is the percentage for this 20% ? 
Could it be that the miscarry rates have risen in the past years? Or, are most women who have had a loss more drawn to use an app and forum for support ?

It seems like a lot of women miscarry, but it only seems like that because women join this app for support during pregnancy and if they miscarry they seek support from other women on this app who understand what they are going through. I don’t know the statistics on the rate of miscarriage, but i dont think it has particularly risen, because most women have roughly the same chances of miscarrying, some women have a higher chance of miscarriage because of medical reasons or maybe a higher family history of miscarriage. Try not to worry too much, because the further on in your pregnancy you are the lower your chances of miscarrying are

I have had 3 (we do have a diagnosed reason for this) I think its more common that people assume. Yes it’s 20% of known pregnancies but I think it would be more than 20% of women who have had them.

I feel like it’s the latter, people who have been through a loss are more likely to reach out on apps such as this one to either ask for or give support, to form a community where they have an understanding when the people they know in person may not.
I personally have never suffered a loss, my first pregnancy went to term and I was blessed to deliver a healthy baby girl💖
But my heart goes out to everyone who has had to suffer through that❤️

I think, as others have said, people come to this app for support during their loss. It’s an amazing resource of women who can relate. However, there are plenty of women who do not miscarry. When I was pregnant and terrified I felt like all I read and all people talked about was miscarriage. But I think you tend to focus more on what you fear. If it’s really stressing you out try avoiding the app for a bit or skip over the stories of loss. 
PS I have had two children in the last two years and (thankfully) did not experience any losses 🙏🏼

I personally came to this app for support during my pregnancy because I’ve had a still born daughter at 20wks5d and then last month I had a chemical pregnancy. So seeing and talking to people gives me support. My SO has only been through our chemical and I truly think it affects men differently. I don’t know who else agrees with that? He is supportive but he has communication issues so it’s hard to talk to him.
