Possible deafness?

Question

I'm 26 weeks even today, and went in for an appointment. The tech noticed she isn't moving at all to the sound of my voice, laughter, or loud noises. We tried playing music against my tummy and again, no reaction. They gave me another appointment for two weeks from now to see if she's just ignoring her surroundings or possibly deaf/hard of hearing.
Has anyone else experienced this with their little ones? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. I have no idea if there is even a process to check for this or if we have to wait until she's here.

They can check once they're born but really ppl who are deaf/hoh can lead completely normal lives my husband is completely deaf in one ear and has 17% hearing in the other and wears hearing aids we have many friends who are completely deaf some with cochlears some without some who have gone to public schools some to deaf schools and technology has made great strides in the deaf community so while no mother wants her child to have to go through things like this itll be ok with accommodations but my prayers are with you

I didn't know they even worried about it at this point.  A former co-worker had a baby last year that was born deaf, they had no clue till they did normal testing at birth. The baby has no other abnormalities.

I know that they can hear pretty well at that age, but it might also help to try low pitched sounds- that range of hearing develops first.
My kiddo really kicks when her daddy talks to me :)
