Induction set on due date

So I had my 39 week appt today (39+2)

And my doctor said we could set an induction date if I wanted to and I said, is the 40 week mark okay?

So she set it for that day which is Wednesday September 2nd

My bishop score right now is a 5 and she said that a favorable induction score is 8.

The whole thing happened pretty quick, so now I’m sitting here like, was that a good idea? For those of you who have been induced, how far along were you when it happened? Did everything go well? Is inducing at 40 weeks too soon? How likely is it that I’m able to get from a 5 to an 8 in five days?
