So, I’m a nanny and change my fair share of poopy diapers. I always wash my hands after.

Last year, I got pregnant unexpectedly. I went to my first appointment at 6 weeks, but I miscarried shortly after. When I was there, I remember filling out paperwork about handling human feces, which I do.

We’re ready to start trying for a baby, but I’m kinda worried about CMV now. Has anyone had it? Is it no big deal if you’ve been exposed previously (likely, I’ve been working with infants for years, poop machines)? I’d like to talk to my doctor about it, but I’m not a huge fan of my doctor (no way she’d take time to educate me about this), and I am in the process of looking for a new one.

I guess I’m just not sure exactly how dangerous it is? Or if theres anything more I should be doing than just washing my hands after changing diapers.
