Periods after having a baby

I am currently 27 days late for AF 😔 my cycles went back to normal after having my son, I got my first period at 6 weeks. I took a pregnancy test a couple of days ago and I thought I was coming on to my period because I had period cramps for three days. Cramps have gone and still no period. Me and my partner have been careful. I will retest in a couple of days time. Anybody else's cycles messed up after birth? I know with my first born, it took up to a year for my cycles to regulate so maybe that's what is happening now.
