Help with weeks?

Hello,
I’m pregnant with my first baby, so apologies - trying to get my head around it all! 
I’m super excited, but want to understand more around how the weeks are calculated.
Took a test yesterday, which came back positive 2-3 weeks.
Took a test this morning which came back 1-2 weeks.
How do I calculate how many weeks I am? 
My last period was on the 24th July.
Waiting to have an appointment with the midwife!

With those tests, you add 2 weeks.

If your last period was July 24 your be considered 5 weeks until you have an ultrasound. In not sure why the test even has a 1-2 week option, I guess it's weeks post ovulation instead of weeks pregnant.
