Birth control (IUD) baby

Kelsey

Just wanting to see if I’m not the only one having this scenario. I’m 19 weeks pregnant and this baby was not meant to happen (not that it’s not loved) but I had an IUD for 3 years and I still had 2 years left on it and once it came out in 2022 I was gonna have my tubes tied. Im 23 now with already two kids and my mental health is awful and always gets worse with/after pregnancy so my doctors told me I was a good candidate for it when I turned 25. During my normal periods they never last more than 3 days and I never cramp or have pain or bleed heavily. I never had any problems with sudden pain or lots of blood loss or anything that would indicate the IUD ever came out that would allow me to get pregnant, but late May I was feeling all the symptoms (nausea, mild cramps and extremely moody) so I took a test to ease my mind and it came back positive so I rushed to the doctor because I was terrified to be pregnant on the IUD (I was so convinced It would kill me) but their ultrasound couldn’t find anything and they sent me to the hospital radiologist and she couldn’t find it anywhere either. Since I was pregnant they didn’t wanna risk an X-ray to see if it moved anywhere. So here I am 19 weeks pregnant, no pain from any missing/moved IUD and idk if this has happened to anyone else or what to even do/expect at this point except have a baby and if it comes out then or if not get an X-Ray after giving birth to find it because I swear this thing did not just fall out without me having to notice some way some how!
