New birth control and heavy period

I’ve been on birth control for over a year. I previously had heavy periods and my birth control has lightened them a lot. They typically only last three days also. I had to switch birth controls due to migraines, we are trying to see if a new pill will be better. This is my first period on the new pill and it’s very heavy, and it’s lasted 5 days and no signs of lightening up. Is this normal?
