Constant period

Hi guys! I need your help! I have been on birth control going on 3 years and I still have no relief. I have been on the lowest dosage of pills, now I’m on the highest dosage my doctor has and I still am on my period. I’ve been on my period for 26 days, my cycle has gotten incredibly heavier and my cramps have gotten worse since I started this new pill. I tried the Depo shot and I had no relief. I was on my period on the Depo for 103 days and I was on the Depo for 13 months overall. My question is if you guys have stopped your birth control after being on it for a while, what are the side effects that you had?
