Are you having a babyshower?

As the time passes I’m coming to the realization that a in person baby shower might not be possible since I really don’t want to risk anyone and most importantly my baby health comes first but I feel sad I always dream about this moment in my pregnancy... so I’m starting to think I will do a virtual baby shower even tho is not the same but 
I’m terrified of the virus, I have asthma and pregnant I don’t think is a great combination to be taking risks

Having a drive-by baby shower 🚗

We are doing mine online in October because I live far away from my family and I’m worried about getting sick. So having it online makes the most sense. We don’t have to take tome off of work to drive down, and no one has to get together. We are having a few close friends over to the house but that’s about it. I was kind of worried even if we had a baby shower, that people wouldn’t show up and then we planned a shower & we drove all that way for no reason. So at this point it just makes sense. 
We sent games in the invitations, and predictions /advice for them to send back to me to have for later. We have an amazon registry and I added diapers on it for easy access so people can participate in the diaper raffle if they want to. We’ll chat, play the games and open presents. My mom also doesn’t have a lot of money so this saved her a ton not having to worry about favors, food, cake, decorations, AND prizes. So I am grateful but also sad that zoom baby showers are kind of a thing right now. It takes care of a few problems but it is also making me feel like I’m missing out on a fun experience.

I’m doing in person and writing “regrets only call” on the invites and those who don’t wanna come bc of covid we are doing a drive by after the party. For example, party from like 11-2 or whatever and for those that rsvp they aren’t coming I will tell them if it’s because of covid you can drive by from 2-4. It’s a compromise but it’s my first and I want a baby shower. Covid has taken enough from us as it is so I’m sticking to this one !

I’m doing a drive by one and open gifts while they are still there as they come by and handing out favors and maybe even food. Sweet and simple. I am NOT in the mood to be hosting and entertaining people this time around lol I can barely put up with my husband and kids 😂

I’m from the U.K. and they’re not very common over here. Also Covid is a concern. I’ve been too scared to go in shops.

Yes, where i live COVID isn’t bad at all and we currently have 0active cases. If it gets bad again then probably won’t do one.

Nope. Not doing one because I have a toddler and even though me and her don’t have any medical conditions, I still have the fear of putting either of us or my unborn at risk. My toddler day care has had two cases already and shut down twice because of it and that was enough for me to call it off. (The shower) I am pretty bummed about it. It sucks. But it’s just literally not anything I could do.
