Unusual period

Ok so to start off my period started a day earlier than expected, usually I start light the first day then it hits really heavy for the next 2 days with horrible cramps but this month something is just off..... First I started Sunday which was a day earlier than expected and it was only spotting but as of today it still hasnt come in full I'm not filling a pad the way i usually do its nearly half the flow I normally have and I have no cramps at all.... Has anyone else had a similar experience I can't get into see my doctor for 2 weeks but by then it would probably be over
