Labor stopped at 38W4D, scheduled Csection 11/20
Just needed to vent. Yesterday (11/17) I started having contractions around 2 pm. They became more regular and painful about 5 pm, the only thing is this is my fourth child and I have never really labored since my 3 other kids have been born by csection. Well at 8 pm we decided to go to the hospital since it's an hour away. We get there and get hooked up to the monitor and it's confirmed that I'm having contractions about every 2-3 min, I was only 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. The on call doctor was called and he gave and order for Terbutaline (an injection to stop labor) which worked. I was told that my labor would not be stopped after 37 weeks. Ugh! I was so frustrated plus the med makes you jittery and sleepy, def not a good combo. I know I only have a couple days to meet her, but that's just pure laziness on the on call doctors part.
