I have done it twice and it was accurate both time BUT paying the $100 for that and then literally 4-5 weeks later paying for an elective ultrasound to confirm before announcing because of the risk of it being wrong it was a waste if money. I'd look and see if there is any 3D ultrasound places near by you that will do an early gender scan at 14 + weeks that way you'll have an accurate answer and save some money as well

I did it through a local place that does private ultrasounds (4D etc.) they did the sneak peak there for me and had a registered nurse take the blood from the vein of my arm just one vile. 
It is way more accurate apparently that way less chance of error. 
Could poke around and see if anyone in your area offers that?
