Can I take a bath two weeks postpartum?🛀🏼

It’s been two weeks since I’ve had my son and I would really like to have mommy baby bath time. I had second-degree tearing which has seemed to heal fine so far.. Just wanted to know is it too early for me to take a quick soak!

Check with your provider. I was told I was fine to have a bath right after both my deliveries (vaginal and c section.)  With my vaginal my midwife even gave a herbal soak to help with healing. No bubble baths though. But I often see on here others were told not to lol

i had a second-degree tear my doctor instructed me to soak in Epson salt to help the healing process but i didn't take a full blown￼￼￼￼ bath i just did a sitz bath￼

You should wait until the doc clears you. Water can go up into your cervix and you can get an infection

I would wait. I was told no baths for 6 weeks and I only had a 1st degree tear

My doctor told me to wait two weeks before taking a bath or going swimming and in the mean time to do sitz baths. Once your stitches aren’t dissolved you should be able to take a bath no problem
