i see racism post everywhere but its never happen to me until tonight

My cousin and i decided to go on a late run to get cofee, she came from puerto Rico a few years ago and theres still somethings she can't fully understand mostly slang language. So the coffee we got in the drive thru was horrible but there were a few cars behind us so we decided to park and in go. As we get out the car theres a white couple coming out and looked at us weird but we thought nothing about it. We stood outside to finish our conversation when the couple pulls up to us and the female yells out the window "learn to talk fucking English bitch" my cousin became stiff and scared i took the bad coffee and throw it at the car. Couldn't be the bigger person 🤷‍♀️ i yelled back "you got the right one" i wish i would have handled it better i know there are bitter people in this world and not all people are bad people. I just found it uncalled for, we weren't outside speaking loudly or dramatic we even finished before going in, I've also never been through a situation like that so next time i will not act off of impulse. That is the goal. Rant over, if any of you have been though a similar situation tell me how you handle it
