Any tips on how to get a 1 year old to potty train? I kind of forgot with my 12 year old 😕 😅

Have a 1 year old daughter and I am trying to get her to use her potty but she screams bloody murder every time I put her on it 🥺🥺🥺

I waited until my kids showed signs that they were ready (taking off their diapers, telling me when they had a poop and asking me to change them, showing interest in sitting on the potty). All 3 of mine trained at 2. 
Maybe she isn’t ready yet if she is screaming.

I would stop for now if she is screaming every time. As you want to keep potty training positive. In the Meantime read different potty books to her. Look for a potty video to watch for her. I know Elmo has one. Then I would give it another month or two and try again. ￼￼￼￼￼￼

I wouldn’t push it at that age. Have the potty out maybe when she comes in the bathroom with you she’ll sit on it. I think she’s way too young to really push it.

Take her with you when you go. 
Invest in a mini potty so when you go to the bathroom she can sit on her as well. 
Consistency is key. Go every 30 minutes to 2 hours on the dot every time. Maybe even do a timer so when the timer goes off she will associate it with going to the potty and getting in the routine of sitting on potty. Allow her to go diaper free some and if she pees take her to the potty and explain he pee one the potty. Once she started peeing (or maybe even before your choice) use rewards. Her favorite snack, or something like that. Allow her to go through the motions, even if she doesn’t pee allow her to wipe and flush.

I potty trained my daughter at 18 months but we'd been sitting her on the potty since she was 9 months old, and we had it just in our living room all the time so she was comfortable climbing around on it for fun. When we potty trained we brought the potty out and watched animal videos on YouTube for basically 5 days straight 😂
